Armored Joint Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe
The prestressed concrete cylinder pipe with armored joints is a technically improved product of the prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP). It is a pre-designed binding joint method to effectively overcome the internal axial thrust of the PCCP pipeline and is usually applied at the turning points of the pipeline, the variable cross-section areas of the pipeline, the adjacent positions between pipes and pipe fittings, and the terminals of the pipeline.
The structural form of the armored joint is to set thrust rings on the ordinary socket and spigot, and the axial force between the pipes can be transmitted by using grooved armored snap rings to clamp the thrust rings on the socket and spigot to form the armor.
